The Awakening

So I've decided after a lot of deliberation that my next army, which will be more hobby orientated now I've got the Skaven army almost finished, will be Vampire Counts.

I first collected this army when I first got into the hobby. One fond memory was painting the undead clown Nagash. I've decided to return to them and maybe add a hero or unit monthly if possible due to work and other commitments. I will try get a lot of conversions in the army and make it a nice army to play against.

First up I've got my mounted Vampire Lord. Nothing big here. Few converted parts done to the Archaeon model. Looks ok. The second is a Strigoi Ghoul King on foot. I wanted a nice big muscly looking model for him. The Savage Orc model was perfect for this. I've given him a Crypt Horror head. On both these models, I still need to do a lot of green stuff work to joins etc.

Overall I'm looking forward to doing this project. What do you guys think of it so far?

Coven Throne and Mortis Engine

So I finished up the Coven Throne and Mortis Engine for the Vampire Counts army. Love the models! Let me know what you think.

Few more Vampires

I've been busy painting up some Vampires for the army. Only the Coven Throne, Blood Knights, Zombie Dragon and Terrorghiest left to do. Hoping to finish sometime next week.

Krell

I completed this model today and thought I'd share it with you all. I have been busy finishing the Hexwraiths off but the bases need to be textured and run out of what I use so they haven't been photographed. Tomorrow I hope to have a few more characters for you to see. A vampire and maybe the married couple?

Small Models Done

So I've finished up all 70 Ghouls for the Vampire Count army. Its taken its time and its been truely soul destroying! But they are done! I've realised I might have to get a wide lens. I can't take pictures of hordes or of long lines of models. This is something I'll look into so apologies on the pictures. Next up.. Hexwraiths of Blood Knights? More Vampire Count Models

So I've finished another unit of Varghiests. This time with green wing membranes instead of the red. I really like the colours used here as its a bit more natural rather then in your face.

Vampire Count Army Part 1

So I've finished up some of the Vampire Count army. Again photos were taken with the camera on my phone. The greys look alot more washed out and drained. I'll learn to photgraph one day!

Test Models

So I've thrown together some colours for the Vampire Count Army I intend to start next week. Not much in terms of guidence given, just greys/greens and some red on the Varghiests. The red on the Varghiest looks quite drawn out but hoping the overall effect and scheme looks decent enough. I may have to give the red a glaze or wash to change it a little :/

I haven't posted a picture of the upcoming Vampire Count army which I'll be starting on this time next week. I should have one or two test models done during the week.

Mortis Engine

With them done, it means I have until Monday to do some of my own Skaven models. Need to push the army on so I can attend my first tournament on April 1st.

Vampire Monsters!

Some Stuff Sorted

I've decided to go with Iron Warriors with my Chaos Space Marines. I've also started my Ork Killa Kan army so lots of shooting coming in 40K. This coupled with getting back into my Dwarfs for Fantasy means alot of shots coming the enemies way. I finished 5 Gutter Runners, an Engineer and 3 Rat Swarms just incase the Hell Pit dies for my Skaven army this weekend. I've also finished a quick paint job of Krell (found here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/elfordminis/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686).
I hope to have the Blood Angels finished this week and shift them. They have been sitting around for a year now and I've lost intrest in collecting a full army of them.

Monster Mash

Today I've made the new Vampire Count models to be sold on eBay. Like all of GW's new models, these were a joy to make and very easy due to the instructions. They have done well with the new kits.

I also finished my Khorne Daemon Prince but I'll show some photos of them tomorrow.
