More Death Guard

I've been working on these most of the weekend. They are some Chosen and anoth Dreadnought. I much prefer the Forge World sculpts but still nice models. Sadly my batteries run out so I've only got a few shots done with my phone :(

75 Minute Model

So I thought I'd see how quick I can get a model to a good gaming standard. Heres the result. It took me just under 75 minutes. This doesn't include building, priming and drying times but did include the base.

Death Guard Army Complete

So I've finished the Death Guard army. I really enjoyed this project and hoping I'll be getting more to paint in the next few weeks. Coming up this week I have some of the new Necron models which will go on ebay. Got one of the GW Nurgle Daemon Prince models and also got someother bits and sods before the start of the Vampires next Monday.

Possessed Marines

I've finished the Possessed Marines. I didnt really like painting these models. Gone for quite a few different colours for the possessed fleshy/daemony parts. Just 10 Death Guard left.

Death Gurad Dreadnought

The Dreadnought is now finished awaiting conformation. I think I'll test my hand at some Possessed next. These are lovely plastic models with some great detail. Will see if I can do them justice.

Death Guard WIP

So I've finished 3 test models for a Death Guard commission I'll be working on from Monday. Not seen many of the Forge World bits but I am looking forward to these! Painted in a few different ways and schemes but the common one was dark and dirty and weathered as we expect these guys to be! I think I'll paint the eyes a dark orange maybe?

Some Stuff Sorted

I've decided to go with Iron Warriors with my Chaos Space Marines. I've also started my Ork Killa Kan army so lots of shooting coming in 40K. This coupled with getting back into my Dwarfs for Fantasy means alot of shots coming the enemies way. I finished 5 Gutter Runners, an Engineer and 3 Rat Swarms just incase the Hell Pit dies for my Skaven army this weekend. I've also finished a quick paint job of Krell (found here - http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/elfordminis/m.html?_nkw=&_armrs=1&_from=&_ipg=&_trksid=p3686).
I hope to have the Blood Angels finished this week and shift them. They have been sitting around for a year now and I've lost intrest in collecting a full army of them.

Khorne Terminators

This weekend while finishing some eBay models, I also done my Khorne Terminators for my 40K army. Only tabletop standard again as I want to get a fully painted army on the board and decided these are the ones :)

First 40K

Today I played my first game of 40K since 3rd edition. Its still just as fun and quick action paced!
We rolled an objective based game. My army was a Khorne Daemon Prince, Khorne Termi Lord Lightning Claws, Termi squad with claws, 10 Khornate Possessed, a squad of Bezerkers with Rhino and 2 squads of Plague Marines with Rhinos and 4 Obliterators. I think Peter took a Warboss with 10 Nobs in battlewagon, 15 burnas in battle wagon, 15-20 storm boyz with special character, 11 lootas, 2 x boyz. He went easy on me so I could learn.

The Daemon Prince, Possessed, Plague Marines and Obliterators all performed well. The bezerkers got it handed to them by his Warboss and Nobs.

I learnt alot and looking forward to my next game. I think I'm going to have to include a Nurgle Daemon Prince and maybe fill out my other squads a little. The Terminators will make way for this. Also I'm going to take a Defiler and give that a run out.

Khorne Daemon Prince

As promised heres a picture of my own Daemon Prince. I was going for a quick tabletop standard for my own 40K army. I tried using the old Chestnut Ink on the Gold parts. It cam out ok but I think I need to play around with it more. I never seem to bothered with my own models which is a shame. Maybe I need an army that will make me put in the effort. Today on my table I've got the Vampire Count Models, so I'll see how far I get with them.

Been a While!

Hi people. Its been a while. I've been very with real life and commissions. But I plan on updating 3-5 times a week from now on.

Starting with an army list. I've been given a load of Chaos Mairnes from a new friend of mine and wanted to come up with a 1000 list to learn the game with. I haven't played since 3rd Edition and I've been told alot has changed. I'll learn soon enough!
