I completed this model today and thought I'd share it with you all. I have been busy finishing the Hexwraiths off but the bases need to be textured and run out of what I use so they haven't been photographed. Tomorrow I hope to have a few more characters for you to see. A vampire and maybe the married couple?

Scenery And Some Nice Words!
I thought I'd share with you all the house I scratch built with plasticard and cardboard and few extra plastic bits I had in the bits box. Nothing special and the painting was really quick as I need to carry on pressing with the Vampire Count army.
I also woke up to find a nice message from the chap who bought two of the three Necron models which were shown earleir this month. It's really nice to get feedback and I've never shared any before so heres the first -
"Hi there
I just wanted to let you know that I have received the wraiths and the stalker in perfect condition.
It was a pleasure unboxing and unwrapping it all, because I realize that you've put a lot of effort and thought into wrapping it safely. I wish I could give you more than five stars for that alone. I more often than not have to glue stuff back on after receiving them from UK sellers, but not this time.
Regarding the paint (and modeling) job: This is beautifully done and I'm so happy that I was determined to get them. I should have placed a much higher bid on your Canoptek Spider, but I already own three of the old tomb spiders, so I stupidly took a chance with the lower bid. I regret that now, seeing how well everything is done: From assembly and posing to the wonderful scenic bases and skillful paint job.
Thanks!

New Plastic Orc and Goblin Characters
I thought I'd share a few pictures of the new Fantasy releases dues next month.
First is a Savage Orc character. The second a Goblin Shaman. Now I really like both and again swaying me too O&G for my next army. Enjoy!
Small Models Done
So I've finished up all 70 Ghouls for the Vampire Count army. Its taken its time and its been truely soul destroying! But they are done! I've realised I might have to get a wide lens. I can't take pictures of hordes or of long lines of models. This is something I'll look into so apologies on the pictures. Next up.. Hexwraiths of Blood Knights? Let me know what you want me to start painting tomorrow.

Next Army?
So after the next few months I'll have all my Skaven finished. Looking at what's left to paint there is - Screaming Bell, 2 Grey Seers, 2 Warlords, BSB, Skrolk, Tretch, 50 Clanrats with Spears, 25 Stormvermin, 2 weapon teams, 6 Gutter Runners, and when I get round to buying one, a Forge World Vermin Lord.
So I've been thinking about what army I want to do next. While I love my Skaven, painted them reasonably nice and I'm happy with them, there isn't much variety and conversions and I rushed with the painting so I could use them. So for my next army I want an army I can play around with. Go to town on them with the paint job, make the bases more interesting and do a lot more conversions. So here are a few choices which I'm considering.
Beastmen - Now these are lovely models. The army seems like it could be converted well and I can play around with the bases making them all woodland like.
Lizardmen - Like Beastmen, I could have fun with these. Not as much in conversions but in regards to the bases. Lustria swamps etc. Would look good I think. I don't like the thought of loads of Skinks.
Ogre Kingdoms - These are big models with big bases. Loads to mess around with. The kits are interchangeable too so nice and easy. Only thing is everyone and their nan have them so have become quite boring to play against now.
Orcs & Goblins - I love most of these models. They seem to be quite fun and random like the Skaven. Again the only down side is the amount of models again. Damn horde armies!
Tomb Kings - Now these really strike me. Skeletons and the 'Egyptian' theme?? What isn't there to like? I'll tell you, painting so much bone.
Warriors of Chaos - Another army I could convert a lot of models and they look good. Also by the time the Skaven are done the new book might be out too.
So let me know what you guys think. I'm leaning towards the Tomb Kings, Beastmen or Orcs and Goblins. Where would you go after Skaven? What themes and conversions would you go with in regards to these three armies?

More Vampire Count Models
So I've finished another unit of Varghiests. This time with green wing membranes instead of the red. I really like the colours used here as its a bit more natural rather then in your face.

Vampire Count Army Part 1
So I've finished up some of the Vampire Count army. Again photos were taken with the camera on my phone. The greys look alot more washed out and drained. I'll learn to photgraph one day!
1600 List Problems
So I've made another few army lists for the tournament and not sure which I prefer. In list 1 I like the targets, and the Gutter Runners. List 2 could do alot of damage in combat and list 3 is a normal Skaven tournament army. List 4 has the Clanrats changed for the better looking Stormvermin. Again it's 1600 points, no Lords, no duplicate war machines, max 40 in a unit, no Doomrocket.

Stripping Paint
So I thought I'd share how I strip paint off of metal models.
I like a lot of the older OOP metal models and prefer the weight of them to resin (although after a few new goes with the GW Finecast stuff I'm starting to like it a lot).
Tools needed -
Old Toothbrush
A container without a lid!
Acetone Free nail varnish remover.

A container without a lid!
Acetone Free nail varnish remover.
First I pour the nail varnish remover into a container. I then put the models I want to strip into the solution.
After a few seconds you can usually see some of the paint 'bubbling'. I leave this for 10-15 minutes.
After this I come back and using the toothbrush I rub it along the model under running water. This takes the layers of paint off. Sometimes the model/parts need to take another soak in the solution.
Once done you should come out with an almost new model!

75 Minute Model
So I thought I'd see how quick I can get a model to a good gaming standard. Heres the result. It took me just under 75 minutes. This doesn't include building, priming and drying times but did include the base.

I've completed a few of the new Necron models. I'll be adding a few more this weekend but first I've got to get a Nurgle Daemon Prince done. Again if you have any comments please post them here.

Test Models
So I've thrown together some colours for the Vampire Count Army I intend to start next week. Not much in terms of guidence given, just greys/greens and some red on the Varghiests. The red on the Varghiest looks quite drawn out but hoping the overall effect and scheme looks decent enough. I may have to give the red a glaze or wash to change it a little :/
Vampire Counts Army
I haven't posted a picture of the upcoming Vampire Count army which I'll be starting on this time next week. I should have one or two test models done during the week.

Ramblings
So today I've done a bit of painting. Not as much as I should have but still got some done. I also put together my Skaven Warlord with Fellblade. Converted from a number of parts I just need to wait until tomorrow to get the green stuff out and tidy the robes up at the back of the model.

Death Gurad Dreadnought
The Dreadnought is now finished awaiting conformation. I think I'll test my hand at some Possessed next. These are lovely plastic models with some great detail. Will see if I can do them justice.
